As a graduate from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Natural Sciences, specializing in Pharmacology, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise in Biology and Chemistry with my students.
During my time at university, I studied a range of modules, including Physiology of Organisms, Mathematical Biology, Biology of Cells, Chemistry, Biology of Disease, Pharmacology, Cell and Developmental Biology, and Systems and Clinical Physiology. This breadth and depth of understanding at a high level has equipped me with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to my students. During my time at university, I was taught under the supervision system, which involved weekly one-on-one sessions with an experienced supervisor. This experience has given me valuable insights into how to best structure and coordinate sessions to maximize learning, including online sessions.
Tutoring experience: I have over a year of experience in tutoring students at GCSE and A-level, and I strive to help them reach their full potential. My sessions are tailored to each pupil's individual needs, catering to their knowledge level and learning style. I offer weekly hour-long sessions, covering content and conceptual understanding, reinforced by homework, marking past papers, exam-style questions, and exam strategy coaching.
I am deeply committed to inspiring determination, confidence, and a love for learning in my pupils. My tutoring style is student-centered, meaning that I put my students' needs and learning style at the forefront of each session. With my enthusiastic and patient approach, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and explore new concepts. By tailoring each session to the student's needs, I help them build confidence in their abilities and achieve their academic goals.
