First class degree in Chemistry from Oxford University, PGCE and QTS from University of Exeter, and MSc In Education from University of Southampton, eight years' experience teaching ages 11-18, enhanced DBS checked.
You can be confident in my subject knowledge, but I am experienced in working with students of all abilities, so if you're feeling uncertain about Chemistry, I'm here to give you much more confidence. My students have described my lessons as clear, organised and helpful. Chemistry can be a challenging subject with lots of interlinking ideas - it's my job to help you put all the pieces of the puzzle together, and I'm confident I can help you master it.
I have eight years' teaching experience for GCSE and A Level, as well as experience successfully tutoring privately alongside that. I have taught in a range of schools, from a comprehensive secondary school, to a selective school, to an international school! That has given me the privilege of working from students from so many different backgrounds, and my aim is always to help them love Chemistry as much as I do!
My approach makes sure you understand the key concepts first, building up from the simplest ideas with loads of practice along the way. We'll also work together on past paper questions and exam technique to ensure you can apply your knowledge effectively. Lessons are available for students in Year 9-13 working towards either GCSE or A Level Chemistry. A typical lesson takes place online for an hour.
