I am a qualified teacher, with both Qualified Teacher Status and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. I am incredibly passionate about helping students reach their full potential, and my enthusiasm helps to make the lessons fun and relatable. I have experience working both in schools and tutoring English and maths online and in person.
I have been working in schools for five years, and tutoring for three. I have completed tutoring both at home, and online during the pandemic. Providing this home learning enabled me to ensure the students I worked with did not fall behind in their studies.
I currently teach in a school for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, but have taught in both SEND and mainstream schools. I have experience working with students with a variety of needs, which allows me to tailor learning to their individual learning style.
I believe lessons need to be fun in order to engage a student; maximum engagement will lead to enabling individuals to reach their full potential. It is important to focus on the strengths of an individual, and look at how we can utilise these in order to work on the areas requiring improvement. Understanding the child and what they like is such an important part of teaching to reach full engagement and subsequently continue to progress.
If you would like any more information on how I could help your child, please feel free to message me.
