First meeting was a failure. I can share our emails exchange to let you judge.
I waited for this prospective student at the correct place and time, outside a well known shop for more than half an hour (having arrived with plenty of time, scouting for a place to talk nearby. The student did not turn up on time. He knew from my profile picture what I look like, I don't know what he looks like (or what he does in life, etc). This was supposed to be an interview, not a lesson, and hence not charged. He takes a picture of me but does not approach me. Because of this I don't think there is scope for further meetings. When a student requests an interview, it applies to both. There is proof I was there from the picture he took, of me waiting. I find this extremely disconcerting to say the least. I am not going to stand in the street making contact with people who might be the students. The tutor cannot demand to see the full name or picture of the prospective student before the latter pays First Tutors their fee. I don't even know what this person looks like. I tried to visually match the people with his name that turned up on the internet with possible passers-by. This is the last time I ever wait in the street for a student I don't know.
From RADHAKRISHNA
'i had my first meeting with this tutor and i find that she is a bit paranoid over safety due to the fact that i did not respond immediately to her request for my address as i'm going through a lot of stress moving home so she told me that she was scared due to my lack of response and that she could not access my website and i had no problem accessing it myself all these caused her to be scared so she decided she did not want to teach me.'
The student refused to give me the address where the tutoring was supposed to take place 3 times. My emails were ignored. The website he gave me does not even mention him. I have reported this exchange to First Tutors. My safety comes first. I can discuss this with other clients if it needs be.

From Lynne
Very experienced and good teacher. I would have continued but work pressures mean I have had to temporarily stop. I will return later in the year
From Rana
I had couple of classes with Emilce in the past two months. I really enjoyed them. Her lessons are well structured and fun. Rana
Rana is making real progress with pronunciation and diction, as well as appreciating the use of British English in its social contexts. An ideal student.
From Michael
Emilce has created a fun learning environment to help build my sons's confidence and enthusiasm build. We have seen immediate improvement in his engagement. He enjoys the lessons.
Wonderful student, clever and insightful, and lovely family and environment.
From Katharine
Energetic and focused teacher who plans lessons carefully.
Excellent students - on their way to an 8 for GCSE French.
From Abigail
Emilce is punctual, organised and exam-focused. She focuses on teaching exam content and not just revising. She also focuses on grammar points from the first day.
Delightful young lady who I hope will continue with Spanish at some point.
