I am a Secondary School Science teacher based in Swansea in my 9th year of teaching. I have experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE as well as Biology A Level. In my spare time I enjoy keeping healthy by running and am currently training for my first half marathon in the summer. I also mentor groups of students and help them to achieve the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
I have worked in two very different Secondary Schools which has given me experience teaching a range of abilities, from A*-E pupils at GCSE. I have also taught both the AQA and WJEC syllabus for GCSE Science, as well as WJEC A Level Biology. I am also an examiner for GCSE exam papers and controlled assessment which makes it far easier improve the exam technique required to reach the top grades.
Teaching in a mixed ability comprehensive school has given me the opportunity to produce a wide range of resources to suit all abilities. I am able to tutor on a one to one basis or in small groups. If you prefer a small group, I will change my rates accordingly to make it more value for money. I have a good understanding of examination requirements and will therefore approach my tutoring sessions from an examiner's point of view, giving students the opportunity to complete past papers and look at model answers.
