I am an enthusiastic and curious biologist with an animal health, welfare and behaviour background and particular interest in livestock. Previously I achieved a first class degree in Bioveterinary Science, before completing a MSc by research in 2017, and then a PhD in 2022. For the past two years I have been a postdoctoral researcher in the veterinary science area.
I have previously supported undergraduate students with third year projects and assisted with the development, teaching and assessment of a third year animal science module. I have also tutored science and maths at GCSE level.
I am friendly, compassionate, and hope to be able to help the student achieve their goals and enjoy learning in the process. My tutoring style is supportive and relaxed, being lead by what the student would like to focus on whether that is a specific problem or area, improving an overall grade, or building confidence with the subject. The first session will involve establishing what the student would like to achieve, how best they feel they will be able to achieve this, and if there is a way they would like to approach the sessions going forward.
