I have just finished my first year at University of York studying English Literature. I am friendly, patient and bubbly. I achieved nine 9's in my GCSEs (including full marks English Literature) and 4 A*s at A-Level so I feel I can understand and appreciate the stress and struggle of exam years having been through them myself only a couple of years ago! I am hard working, reliable and organised and strive to make every session tailored to a student's needs.

Tutoring Experience

I started tutoring in 2019 during my first year of sixth form so have 3+ years of experience. I have mainly worked with GCSE or Year 7-9 and have loved it. I have helped students make excellent progression whether that be from a 2 to a 5 or help them reach their potential and achieve Grade 9s! I mainly tutor in Biology, English Literature or English Language as these are the subjects I feel most confident in sharing my knowledge, providing helpful revision techniques and giving exam tips!

Tutoring Approach

There is no one approach that works for every student! Having worked with so many different students over the last couple of years, I know the importance of tailoring sessions to individual needs. I also want to make students feel as comfortable as possible, ensuring they know that no question they ask about a topic is ever stupid! Some of my previous have even described my tutoring sessions like chatting with a friend!
