Not only has she helped my son prepare for his GCSE exam (over a 4 month period) improving his grammar, narrative writing, spelling, language technique and comprehension, she has also captured his imagination and helped unleash his creative mind.

Emily has been teaching my 11year old daughter for the past year. My daughter had been struggling in English, she would often get frustrated and upset regarding this. Emily’s patience, in depth teaching and professional approach has given my daughter the confidence and ability to meet the expected standard for her age. This had been proven from school reports, discussions at parents evenings and her passing English SAT’s test. My daughter thoroughly enjoys her tutor lessons. I would recommend using Emily.

Emily is an amazing teacher. From the first lesson with my son, she intuitively knew how to get the best out of him. He usually dreads English but Emily’s engaging and energetic manner are infectious, making the lessons so much fun, that he doesn’t even realise that he is learning. He looks forward to his lessons with her and tries to impress her with what he has learnt so far. The feedback at the end of each session is invaluable for us parents but also instils in our son pride in what he has achieved and the confidence to keep going.

I can honestly say that Emily has achieved absolute wonders with the 11+ preparations in terms of building both the crucial skills and self-assurance necessary to be able to tackle these daunting exams. Not only has our daughter been accepted by her two first choices: Highgate and St Paul's Girls' School but she has enjoyed every single lesson with Emily whose expertise, positivity and confidence is infectious.

We are so impressed with Emily whose sensitivity and tailored teaching has meant our son continues to make great progression in English despite a history of dreading English as a subject and complex educational needs. Emily is clearly a very experienced teacher and her many years of professional experience in the classroom is obvious. Her teaching is bespoke and inclusive and her detailed feedback after each lesson is brilliant. Thank you Emily!

Emily is such a sweet teacher, she helped me structure my paragraphs and taught me many techniques to tackle long essay questions. Highly recommend!

Emily is a superb tutor. Every lesson is engaging and meaningful. She is extremely accommodating and has taken the time to create mock style assessments outside of lessons for both my sons in prep for their end of term assessments, marked them and set targets.
Before Emily, both boys lacked confidence and didn’t understand how to improve. Since working with her, they’ve progressed enormously and even won an award for most progress made in English in the year.
We would highly recommend Emily to anyone who is seeking that extra bit of guidance to succeed.

Emily is a very warm, punctual and friendly tutor.
Although I was taught by her for a short time, I found the lessons with her to be very helpful and I progressed to a great extent in my writing with her. During the lessons we had a look at my areas of weaknesses and strengthened them with practice and the use of many constructive techniques provided by her.
