I have seven years' experience as a Lecturer in History. I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate English and World History modules, and graded exams. I have a PhD in History (Leicester) an MPhil in Chinese studies majoring in History (University of Oxford), and a BA in Politics and History (Newcastle).
I am a published author, with Manchester University Press publishing my book in 2020, as well as seven articles in leading history and social sciences journals.
I have a wealth of experience helping undergraduate and postgraduate History students. I have taught World History modules at the University of Cambridge as well as English and World History, including imperial history modules in Germany. I have also mentored and tutored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students, and taught English as a foreign language.
I can help you reach your potential, in particular by helping you to understand how to write excellent coursework, and what is expected in exams. With my experience as a university lecturer, I can guide you in how to argue coherently, present and reflect on sources and historiography, how to find and search for resources, as well as important historical concepts and research methods.
