I'm a graduate in Philosophy and Theology from Durham University, and currently I am undertaking an MSc in Theology and Political Science at the University of Edinburgh. I enjoy reading books across a range of topics and have a love for philosophical works from the 20th century. I take up Spanish lessons in my own time to improve my language skills and further my aim of moving abroad to work.

Tutoring Experience

I have had plenty of tutoring experiences in the past, helping tutor family friends and other students. During my A levels, I helped students study (at different capabilities) with subjects they were struggling with at GCSE level. Also during my first year of university I helped students online with general studying and subject areas at different stages (Stage 2-3). In my A level and GCSE results I attained high grades that where on average an A (7).

Tutoring Approach

I have a systematic teaching approach that corresponds with my own personal learning approach that has helped me succeed in my studies. I like to break down components of what I need to teach into small sections, and then expand further on them with analysis when is appropriate. My approach is to teach the vital content across the major chunk of a session and then expand further if I think it will be beneficial. However, I am also happy to spend longer on things that a student struggles with, as my key focus is on helping my student to easily grasp the content in a time that is suited to them.
