I am a German national, have been living in England for over 20 years and am married with two children. I am qualified to teach the full secondary age range in England. I have taught in a variety of schools, including a girls' all-ability school, a girls' grammar school and, for over 10 years, in a boys' grammar school where my students consistently achieved outstanding results at GCSE and A level. I am currently working for an examination board as a German A-level examiner so I am fully up to date with the latest examination requirements. I have worked successfully as a 1:1 tutor for students of all ages in Germany and England.
I have extensive experience of teaching in a variety of settings in Germany and the UK. I have successfully taught large numbers of students to GCSE and A level and I am an experienced A-level oral examiner. When my children were small, I taught local adult education classes. Latterly I have worked as a tutor for children and students from primary school to undergraduate level.
I feel it is important to understand the learning needs of each individual tutee, so I take time to assess what they already can do and identify areas where they need to improve. I strive to make my lessons stimulating, informative and enjoyable and hope to pass on the enthusiasm I have for learning languages. I have consistently received very positive feedback from my students and their parents.
