I’m Eve, a qualified English tutor based in Huddersfield. I’m married with a one-year-old son, and we also have two lovely dogs who keep us on our toes! I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially going on walks with my family and dogs. I have a genuine love for language and learning, and I’m passionate about helping others grow in confidence. I bring patience, structure, and encouragement to every lesson I teach.
I have over 10 years of experience teaching English Language to a wide range of learners, including GCSE students, adult learners, and those working towards Functional Skills qualifications. I have supported students both in classroom settings and through tailored 1:1 tuition, helping them build confidence, improve written and verbal communication, and achieve their academic goals. My background in education also includes supporting learners with additional needs and adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
My teaching approach is calm, structured, and fully tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I take time to understand the student’s goals, strengths, and areas for development, and I build lessons that offer clear objectives and steady progression.
I use a mix of discussion, step-by-step instruction, visual prompts, and past paper practice to ensure students are fully engaged and developing the skills they need. I also provide regular feedback to track progress and build confidence.
