Hi, my name is Faiza. I have been a qualified teacher of English for 5 years. Prior to this, I was teaching English as a foreign language for 4 years. I have an honours degree in English Language and a PGCE from The University of Manchester.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced teacher of English Language, English Literature and creative writing. I have a proven track record of achieving excellent outcomes through my commitment to providing students with rigorous academic teaching, personalised intervention, and aspirational encouragement. I ensure that the tutoring sessions enable students to practise the skills that are required for the exam. This practise leads to familiarity and therefore, an increase in confidence. Written responses are marked by myself, and I will give students constructive feedback which will allow them to understand where they are making mistakes and how to improve.

Tutoring Approach

I have a flexible and personalised approach aimed to cater for every student's individual needs. I use a full range of teaching pedagogy to ensure all learning styles are met. I like to focus on the use of positive praise to build students confidence when teaching and make learning fun for them.
