A dedicated tutor, completed the PGCE at the Institute of Education in London, live centrally, worked at a top school in High Barnet, and Wembley, successful pass rates @ GCSE and A-level. Can teach all 3 sciences till KS4 and Biology to KS5. Have most recently taught at three Independent girls schools in London.
Have worked at an outstanding school in Wembley and a new free school in Kilburn.
I have been teaching science in secondary schools for 11+ years now, having worked in comprehensive good and outstanding schools, with an only girls, only boys and a mixed cohort respectively.
I have experience teaching all 3 sciences (physics, biology and chemistry) from KS3-KS4, and biology through to KS5.
I am an also an examiner for the exam board Edexcel.
I like to work out what type of learner the individual is: whether kinaesthetic, audio, visual or read-write. I then base my learning activities around this to get the most out of the pupil and help them revise successfully. I use a lot of application as the new courses are heavily based on the application of scientific concepts, and use plenty of exam questions as I strongly believe that practice makes perfect. Often students also need to focus on the terminology needed to guarantee a pass in the exam.
