I'm a current medicine student studying at King's College London after completing my undergraduate Bachelors at Imperial College London with a First Class Hons. I've also spent time working at Harvard Medical School in Biological research. I'm a hard-working and reliable person that loves working with other people. I'm extremely patient and happy to work with students at any level to see they achieve their goals.
I have a lot of experience tutoring students KS3 - A-level in all sciences and maths with a particular speciality in Biology due to my background. Many of these students were tutored online through Zoom and using powerpoints and online whiteboards for teaching.
I plan to approach my tutoring lessons by first investigating the problem area the student is struggling with and from there develop personalised lesson plans to target this. The approach taken depends so much on the learning style of the student so I'm happy to work around that!
I personally find making visual diagrams to explain difficult concepts helps understanding a lot. I also think working through questions together to find the solution as a team before gradually allowing the student to become more independent can help build confidence. I want my lessons to be fun and engaging so I try to think outside the box and come up with new ways to look at the information!
