I am a graduate of the University of Leeds with a first-class honours in International History and Politics. I have since undertaken a law degree, obtaining a distinction. I am currently studying for my Legal Practice Course, before I start my training contract as a solicitor at a top London law firm in September 2023. I also currently work part-time for Queen Mary University of London and volunteer as a legal caseworker for the National Centre of Domestic Violence.
I have an extensive background in education, having spent four years working as a Maths and English tutor at Kumon and three summers working as an English as a foreign language teacher at Project International to students from all over Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Having taught both young children and children whose first language is not English, I have honed my ability to communicate confusing concepts clearly and engagingly to maximise understanding and impact and my ability to improvise and adapt my styles, methods and timing to a variety of audiences.
I have learnt that it is imperative to understand what interests and motivates each individual so that I can maintain engagement throughout the duration of my teaching sessions.
Most importantly, I promise to be approachable and show genuine kindness whilst also doing my best to make each session fun and engaging. I will always take the time to learn about your preferred teaching style so that I can tailor my sessions to you.
