I have a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Oxford and have 6 years of teaching experience in top independent schools around the UK. I have taught GCSE and A-Level physics, as well as helped prepare students for the PAT, ENGAA, TSA and Oxbridge interviews. I have a track record of securing top grades for my students, as well as supporting those with additional needs and those who feel Physics is not for them.
As well as teaching ages 11-18, I have helped many students with Oxbridge entrance tests and interviews. I have taught several different exam boards, most recently Edexcel IGCSE and AQA A-level. While teaching I also helped prepare students for the British Physics Olympiad at junior, intermediate and senior level.
I understand that science (and particularly Physics) can seem daunting to many people and I am always compassionate and patient in my teaching. Often you know more than you think, but small misconceptions or misunderstanding the question are keeping you from accessing that knowledge. I will break things down to the smallest possible step in an effort to make the subject accessible to everyone. I also have a wealth of experience in helping students hone their exam technique and revision strategies to turn understanding and knowledge into all-important exam marks! While I love Physics and want to share that love with everyone, I also know that it is important to play the game of exams and will spend time with you pointing out how to interpret questions and infer possible answers to secure those top grades!
