Francesca

Hi there.

I am Francesca and I run The Study Sanctuary! I hold a Bachelor of Science (with Honours) in Chemistry and a Postgraduate Diploma (QTS) in Secondary Education. I am a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Tutoring Experience

I have 8 years experience as a dedicated Science teacher and now specialise in KS3 Science and GCSE Chemistry. I have taught in a range of schools to students from the age of 11 to 18. As well as teaching in mainstream schools, I am experienced in teaching students attending Alternative Provisions, students with SEND and students who are electively home educated too. I have tutored students who have gone on to attend Oxford, Cambridge and other Russell Group Universities.

I have a wealth of pastoral experience, hold a Level 3 Safeguarding qualification and have an Enhanced DBS. This provides peace of mind for parents, knowing that their child is learning in a safe and secure environment.

Tutoring Approach

My online tuition sessions are a supportive, engaging and interactive learning environment, where students feel confident and inspired. I tailor each session to suit the needs of the student, breaking down complex scientific concepts and ideas. I use a mix of visual resources, real-world examples and interactive activities to keep lessons dynamic and fun. I believe in nurturing curiosity and building strong foundations. My goal is to make Science exciting and accessible, empowering every learner to reach their full potential.
