Im a finalist economics student at the University of Warwick, and will be studying Data Science MSc next year. I am passionate about teaching both maths and economics, and watching my students build their knowledge to a point of fluency and confidence.

Tutoring Experience

My teaching experience includes tutoring family friends and other students in my local area. in addition as an Economic Mentor, I also helped younger students in my departments, informally, on parts of modules which they found to be tricky.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to teach the fundamentals of subjects. Often, students are taught in a fashion which hinges success on marks attained on their exams. While this is understandable at school, as a tutor my role is too compliment their teachers. And so when focusing on parts of their syllabus which they find challenging, the best way is to firstly find the weak points in their foundational knowledge, and build step by step to a complete understanding of the topic, rather than just memorising rules and protocol without an understanding of why these rules exist.
