My son got English lessons from Francis, and we were very happy from his lesson.
My son got good result from his GCSE exams. Francis has quite important contribution in my son's result.

Good tutor but not my daughter choice

Francis is clearly a very experienced teacher that managed to engage my son during their sessions. Francis is able to quickly identify the areas that need improvement and take a lead in the sessions. Each session is different and covering a variety of areas for improving English overall. My son really enjoys the sessions with him and we are already seeing a progress.

Francis was the only tutor to listen to my needs. He is able to access and guide me forward, during each lesson. My first lessons only lasted an hour, however only seemed to be ten minutes long. Now more than happy to undertake two hour lessons, these pass quickly, with much learnt. It will be a sad day, when I no longer need Francis as a tutor.

Francis is obviously an experienced teacher. He is very professional and highly communicative. He is very well-structured. I would highly recommend Francis as a English teacher.

When we started with Francis, my son was struggling to write and can only write very few quite simple sentences. With Francis’s encouragement, he is now enjoying writing and has become more creative in his writing. My is also being tutored by Francis and she has made an improvement as well. Both my children’s love their lessons with Francis. He is a very good teacher and makes his lessons enjoyable for the kids.

Francis is a very gentle and kind tutor, who takes his time helping my son with his Spanish. We have not had many lessons so far, but my son really enjoys his lessons.

Francis is great with the twins (9 year old girls) and entertains as well as educates them (Latin). He makes the lessons fun, interesting and has built a great rapport with the girls. They are thoroughly enjoying having him as a tutor (and look forward to his brain teaser challenges he gives them!). I am really pleased to have Francis teach the girls and I highly recommend him. This is the second time we have found a tutor using FirstTutors and both times our expectations have been exceeded.

My son is really enjoyed lessons with Francis, whom makes lessons interesting, always fully prepared and go through different areas. Very nice personality as well!

Francis responded to my first message very quickly and was extremely accommodating in setting up our first lesson. As an adult returning to learning French after a couple of decades I was motivated but apprehensive, but already due to Francis' teaching i'm fired up with enthusiasm and the apprehension is gone. Francis made it clear to me that the learning could be tailored to the style and content which suited my aims and I'm already very happy with my progress and look forward to my lessons immensely. I'm a teacher myself and cannot recommend this man highly enough.

Francis is very friendly and patient. I regard him as a very experienced teacher with a wealth of knowledge. We have taken 3 lessons from him so far, so it is bit too early to say anything on the tutee's progress. But I am pleased with the lessons so far. His teaching technique and approach to the topic is good;explanations are very clear on the topics.I would certainly recommend him.

My daughter is not a keen learner but Francis managed very quickly to get her interested and enjoying the work. IT is too early to say the impact of the tutoring but I can only imagine it will be very good. He is a pleasure to deal with.

I was looking for a tutor as an adult/casual English learner. I wanted to improve my written and communication English to help developing further my professional career. I sent few requests on FirstTutors and Francis responded in most positive way providing great flexibility in session times. The lessons were delivered in a professional, but friendly manner. Francis spotted my weak points and patiently (my mistakes were often repeated) applied amendments that would improve things. I have found Francis to be an excellent tutor!

Francis is a very warm, patient and flexible teacher. He is tutoring my son in A Level French, and Cameron has found it really useful. It has helped cement things in his mind and the one-to-one teaching works well for him. Cameron feels more confident in all aspects of this exam. We have no hesitation in recommending Francis at all.

I have really been enjoying my lessons so far - a nice mix of feeling like I'm making progress and feeling motivated without feeling pressurised. Francis is professional but friendly, encouraging and methodical.

Francis worked very hard to fit my daughter into his schedule. He is an excellent communicator and makes time at the end of the lesson to discuss progress with me and to gain feedback. We are pleased with his approach and feel he is going to be a great help to her.

Francis is an excellent teacher. Positive and proactive. He is helping me long term to get to grips with my Italian. I recommend him highly.

Francis is tutoring our whole family (2 adults and 2 children) in Spanish. We are alll at different levels and has been a very friendly and patient tutor. He is professional and flexible with our little group in terms of teaching and diaries. We have all gotten a lot out of our sessions with Francis and I would definitely recommend him as a tutor.

Francis started teaching my son 3 weeks ago and we already can se noticable progress in his English writing. He is now able to compile a story plan before actually writing it, and he makes less mistakes. My son still needs to improve his "explanation" skills but I think he will get there soon.

Francis takes a very professional approach to his lessons and my wife and I are satisfied with his teaching method. He is also flexible with timing and we always find mutual understanding on various "teaching issues" such as homework, possible re-scheduling of the lesson, etc…

Francis is a great teacher according to Patti, he certainly is a great motivator, now switching to a couple of last minute English sessions
