Tutoring Experience

Self-employed as Total Maths Tutoring in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne from 2019-2020, I gained experience tutoring GCSE and A level students online and in-person. Most recently, from 2021, I have been volunteering with Action Tutoring, delivering online and in-person maths sessions to disadvantaged secondary school students (years 7-11).

Tutoring Approach

I bring a data-based approach, asking the student to complete a test which will show gaps in knowledge. I work systematically to fill the gaps in knowledge and verify the results in short- and long-term with follow-up testing. I love supplementing the curriculum with real-world practical problems and working with bright kids who can have a deep discussion.
