I enjoy teaching and seeing children reach their potential. Learning and education has helped me and it is something I value dearly.
Currently, I am Teaching and Learning Director and Head of Maths for Reception, Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) and Key Stage 2 (Year 3, 4, 5 & 6). I have been teaching for 9 years and have a great deal of experience tutoring children in years 1 to 6 and in preparation for SATs. I have also tutored students in year 7.
I have a National Professional Qualification in Leading Teaching and have improved the interest, aspirations and achievements of children working towards, at expected and working above the age expected standard.
I have worked one to one, in small groups and in large classes moving children’s learning forward. I have also worked in four different boroughs in London in four different schools and have picked up a wealth of knowledge across all four boroughs and schools.
My lessons will initially begin with a test to assess the gaps in your child’s learning and from there I will offer insightful strategies, imperative scaffolding and specific work, in order for your child to progress. Furthermore, every week your child will be tested on set facts (e.g. times table, number bonds and more) which is needed in order for your child to be fluent in many areas of Maths.
