I am currently a PhD student at the University of Bath, studying a research project in the field of bioinformatics. I also studied my masters in bioinformatics at the University of Bath, as well as I completing my bachelor’s in Biochemistry at the University of Bristol.
I have 3 years of research experience within structural biology, phylogenetics, biogeography, and phytopathology. This research was mostly computational and so I have extensive knowledge and experience in computer science as well.
I have also been privately tutoring GCSE to A-level biology for two years.
Targeted, bespoke, and relaxed.
My teaching methodology will be shaped by my students' current proficiency and modes of thinking (visual learning, read/write, etc.) in the biological sciences. I will learn about their areas of strength and those that require the most attention from an initial assessment. Lessons will be planned in an efficient but relaxed manner when this has been determined.
