Very helpful and explains material in detail

I booked Garrie for firstly a one off session - then went on to book a block of 5 sessions for my son leading up to his higher maths exam.
The entire process was extremely easy to navigate.
Its been an eye opener for my son to recieve one to one teaching and hes found it incredibly useful - having no distractions and concentrating on exactly the what hed been struggling with.
Garrie has been professional throughout the whole process - and always communicated easily.
Our last session - the day before the exam was an online meeting - due to covid - and my son expressed that it was just as good - even when hed been a bit hesitant.

Garrie has been helping me with my Mathematics for Engineering units over the last year, and has been absolutely excellent. For example, Maths 5 is the highest level Maths unit currently covered at college level in any college in the whole country. I scored 100% in my assessment, this would never have happened without Garrie's help.
I will be progressing to year 3 of the B.Eng. Electrical Engineering degree come September, and have full confidence in my ability to complete the course knowing I have Garrie's assistance with the electrical theory units.
I would thoroughly recommend Garrie to anyone, his knowledge and understanding, and ability to convey information in an easy to understand and relatable way is tremendous.

Very pleased with the help from Garrie - he helped get my daughter through her Electronics resit.

I was very lucky to find someone with such expertise as Garrie to help our grandson when he was in difficulties with his aeronautical engineering degree. His lessons have proved to be invaluable in my grandson's preparations to resit some of his units as he has increased his knowledge and helped him target his revision as well as elucidate areas he was finding difficult, showing him different methods to those taught at his university. Indeed we would have liked more lessons if Garrie had been able to fit them in to his busy schedule. We hope he will continue to be available for follow up lessons during the rest of Luke's course.

My daughter Laura was struggling to understanding some of the concepts and theories covered in Higher Physics. But thanks to Garrie's well structured input, patience and guidance she secured "B" at Higher. Whats more, she likes the subject so much now that she's taking it at Advanced Higher level and looks forward to getting more valuable support from Garrie.

Our daughter has had tuition for several weeks and has grown in confidence with the level of detail and input from Garrie. For some reason he explains things a little better than the school teacher does and relates more easier to Our daughter. She is still receiving tuition for three subjects and is progressing well and with confidence, wish we had used Garrie during S4/5 previously. online tutoring is superb an di wasnt bothered by it as i had done my degree through this method also.

Garrie is very organised and had lots of resources and past papers which helped my daughter with her physics. He has a good working knowledge of the higher physics syllabus and was able to supplement her school lessons with extra teaching. He was always punctual and was able to accommodation her with extra sessions as the exam approached.

I didn't have Garrie for long however improvements have been made in my knowledge of Physics which helped in the nearing of my exam. Would strongly recommend for anyone struggling with Physics.

Excellent tutor. Garrie is tutoring me in MATLAB for my Engineering degree - he is extremely knowledgeable and highly proficient, and I could not recommend him enough. I contacted Garrie during the summer to brush up on my maths leading up to starting second year of university. Garrie has helped me through a variety of university level mathematics including double integration, ordinary differential equations, systems of ordinary differential equations and laplace transforms among others. He has helped instil confidence in me leading up to my january exams and is very flexible allowing me to juggle part time university and work commitments well. I would highly recommend Garrie to anybody.

Mr Garrie is tutoring my son and provides help for his higher Physics exam this year. He is very knowledgable on the subject and with ease explains complex questions. On top of that he will teach you unseen tricks with the calculator and various other shortcuts, for example with equations, which can save loads of valuable time on the actual exam. Just by walking in the room he gave a beam of hope that even for a limited time you can prepare and be successful at the exam. Fabulous, thank you!

I struggled to find a tutor for eng maths at university. Luckily I managed to find garrie who was an excellent help and managed to help me with all of the topics I struggled with. I now have much better understanding of the subject. I would recommend garrie above all.

Excellent tuition, my 17 year old son has already been able to improve his understanding of key area's of Advanced Higher Maths which previously he struggled to comprehend. Great help during my summer school. Helped me to gain an understanding of the different new topics I was studying. Clear, patient and good at explaining different problems.

Although we do not yet have results from her exam, my daughter was very pleased with the tuition from Garry. Garry's teaching style and manner, and level of command of the subject, put her at ease and gave her confidence.

Garrie has been a great help in getting me up to speed with Advanced Higher level maths. He has been very patient and has great knowledge of the subject, breaking it down to an understandable level for someone to learn. As someone who is not confident with their mathematics I would highly recommend Garrie as a tutor. He has helped me immensely.

Garrie has a very structural (I would say academical) approach. That way you can see your target and you know when you hit it.
He is very precise. He's got everything planned in advance and everything gets covered at the end of the lesson.
He sets out an example by solving all the tasks along with the student and then leaves the notes afterward. And that is Excellent!
His explanations are simple and clear.

Very pleased with tutor, had 4 x 2 hour session, tutor provided solutions to problems ina simple fashion, and
made things understandable. He provided a lot of additional materials.

I used Garrie for a couple of months before my son's Maths Standard Credit exam. He immediatey established a rapport with Charlie and they got on very well… Charrlie was sruggling when he met Garrie but by the time he went into his exam he was feeling a lot more confident. We don't have the result yet but whatever they are I will continue to use Garrie as I coild see how my son had improved in the time they worked together. I would have no hesitation in recommending Garrie to others.
