Garry

I am an Honours graduate of the world-renowned and ancient University of St Andrews. I decided to attend university as a mature student, and as such feel extremely well-equipped to tutor adults and university students as well as school pupils. I have two children now studying at Masters level, so I am well versed in their past educational needs.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught and advised in both English and History at college level, and have taught English in Scotland up to Higher and Baccalaureate level.

Tutoring Approach

I am very friendly with a good sense of humour, as well as being empathetic and sympathetic with regards to the needs of individual students. Everyone is different, so I gauge my approach accordingly and my methods are in this way tailor-made to the requirements of the student I am tutoring. I do have a great rapport with teenage learners, and always do my utmost to get them to realise their potential.
