I am a middle aged male and have been teaching Geography for twenty years. I am really interested in Geography and outdoor education and have a very positive attitude towards learning. I currently have a full time position and in addition to teaching Geography hold the position of Principal Teacher of Supported Learning.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Geography for twenty years in Scotland and have delivered all levels from S1 to S3 curriculum for excellence Geography across the Broad General Education. I have delivered Standard Grade and more recently am involved in the Nationals. My major area of expertise lies in the Higher Geography course. In addition to teaching Higher Geography for ten years I have been marking the Higher Geography scripts for the SQA for fifteen years. I have also been part of the Higher Geography examination team and assessed the markers marking was of the correct standard. My experience is second to none.

Tutoring Approach

I have an approach to tuition to suit the needs of every pupil. I differentiate my tutoring to suit the individual’s needs and ensure that I work on the areas of difficulty for each individual. I will supply all resources required and find that careful study and wording really helps each individual.
