I have worked in schools since 1997. I am currently writing as an academic for Cambridge University Press, having published my first monograph in February 2025. I also tutor pupils privately.

Tutoring Experience

In my teaching career I have taught A level Ancient History (OCR), Latin (OCR), and Religious Studies (AQA and OCR). As Head of Department I was responsible for the marking and moderation of Latin Common Entrance Papers at 13+

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to emphasise personalised learning. Every student has very specific needs and my approach is to further develop areas of strength and to assist the student in identifying areas of weakness and setting concrete targets to address these. My students have always found me approachable, patient and focused on their academic needs and their pastoral welfare.
