I am a former primary school teacher with a passion for positivity, building confidence and good mental health.
I have a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education), (QTS) Qualified Teacher Status, Full DBS clearance and am a member of the Tutors' Association.
I have over a decade of teaching experience (15+ years at the time of writing) ranging from teaching English as a Foreign Language to children and young adults in South Korea for 2 years and becoming a qualified primary school teacher in 2008.
My primary experience as a class teacher is mainly with years 4-6. I worked at two, vastly different South East London primary schools for several years each.
Consistently graded, 'outstanding' I take pride in planning learning for children as individuals and tailoring lessons carefully to their needs.
During my time as a class teacher, I was privileged to work with children of all abilities, backgrounds and ethnicities.
I take a gentle and understanding approach to teaching with fun, creative and highly personalised lessons for my students. I adapt activities to suit their individual needs and learning styles.
As well as teaching children academically, I nurture positive mindsets in my learners that enable them to grow in confidence and resilience. This approach open up so many possibilities in their futures!
