My students have FUN! I am a Wirral-based tutor offering 11 Plus tutoring in small groups; my students love coming to my sessions and for me, I believe this is the most important factor in the learning process. I am an English teacher at a Wirral grammar school offering 11 Plus group tutoring (3-4 in a group). I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA (Hons) in English and Modern History (2:1). I absolutely love what I do and enjoy seeing the progress that my students make. I have an approachable and friendly personality and I am able to forge strong relationships with my students which gives them the confidence needed to succeed. Group tutoring is an excellent way for children to learn as they are able to 'bounce' ideas of each other and it also instills a competitive element within the children which they all enjoy. Additionally, I am very honest with parents about whether I think a student will pass or not. I am happy to meet you and your child prior to commencement of the sessions.

I currently tutor for the 11 Plus at the school I work at (Calday Grange Grammar School) and I also teach English across the school years.

Tutoring Approach

I teach the 11 Plus in small groups (maximum of 5). The sessions are designed to be fun and interactive. I believe children learn best when they are enjoying themselves! Group sessions enable this to happen.
The sessions include:
