Hello! I am a University of Oxford History graduate with a wealth of experience tutoring History and humanities subjects to students completing GCSEs, A Levels, and Oxbridge applications.

After achieving AAAA in A Level History, English Literature, Sociology, and Religious Studies, I studied History at Lincoln College, University of Oxford, graduating in 2019 with a BA (Hons). Whilst at Oxford, I completed internships with BBC News, British Vogue, and The Times alongside my positions as Editor-in-Chief of a popular university magazine and as Vice President of the History Society.

I was also closely involved with Lincoln College’s outreach and admissions process, acting as the student lead for two interview periods and liaising with hundreds of applicants and parents.

After graduating, I taught English in Shanghai for five weeks before travelling through China, and at the beginning of 2020 volunteered in Cambodia for two months in a cross-cultural youth programme.

Tutoring Experience

I have a wealth of experience tutoring GCSE History, A Level content, and assisting humanities students in making strong Oxbridge applications (e.g. practice interviews and reviewing personal statements). I am confident with and passionate about helping students fulfil their potential in humanities subjects and applications.

Tutoring Approach

From my experience tutoring a wide range of age groups and students from various countries, my approach is to adapt my lessons to the individual student. The lessons are very much a collaborative experience, rather than me simply lecturing. Together, we explore various historical themes, questions, and arguments in a fun and engaging way! This can include discussions, videos, quizzes and more.
