George started playing music at the age of 6 and quickly progressed. George then proceeded to undertake Drum Tuition with his teacher Ian Macpherson a retired Army Bandmaster who once commanded one of Her Majesty The Queen’s Army Bands and later became the Musical Advisor to The Royal Oman Police. Whilst studying with Ian, George acquired distinctions in grades 2,4, 6 and 8. George has also studied with some of the worlds leading drummers such as Thomas Lang, Ron Tierno, Dave Hassell and more.
Whilst studying, George started gigging at the age of 13, playing various venues across the country attaining first hand experience of the music industry. George underwent his first professional tour at the age of 16 and quickly gained valuable experience touring as a musician on the road and continues to tour Britain and Europe.
George became a finalist in Young Drummer Of The Year 2015 and in the Yamaha Future Beat competition in 2016, attaining recognition in the industry. Working in several studios (both playing and engineering), touring and playing with many acts, George is making a name for himself and continues to pursue his musical ambitions whilst attending the last few months at the Royal Northern College Of Music in Manchester UK at the age of 22.

I have been teaching drums in between professional touring since 2016.
I believe an approach based on the students desire and what they want to gain from drum lessons is key to the students progression. Finding out strengths the student already has and then worked on developing them as a player with their own unique voice is something I am extremely passionate about.
