I consider myself a friendly and kind individual currently working as a research assistant at Imperial College London, having achieved my PhD here this year in Bioengineering. I graduated from my undergraduate in Summer 2018 with a First Class Honours integrated Masters degree in Physics from the University of Nottingham.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked as a graduate teaching assistant at Imperial College London for the duration of my PhD (2018-2022). This involved running study groups (specifically for maths, electromagnetics and mechanics). I taught a class of 30 undergraduates, working through exam-level problems and providing assistance with any aspects of the lectures students were struggling to grasp. For this work I was voted graduate teaching assistant of the year in 2021 and 2022 in the department, which was voted for by the students. I have direct experience tutoring an A level Physics student and a GCSE mathematics student and I also tutored my 16 year old brother through his GCSEs in Maths and Physics, for which he achieved a level 8 and 7, respectively.

Tutoring Approach

I understand that different students may pick up aspects of a given subject at different rates and these subjects are challenging, therefore I have a very patient approach to teaching. I want each student to feel confident and comfortable in their ability to tackle a problem and learn to enjoy the subject I am tutoring.
