Georgina

I am a qualified Solicitor originally from Buenos Aires, in Argentina. I started my career as a Lawyer working in commercial law in Buenos Aires and moved to the UK to undertake a Master's degree in Law at Cambridge in 1996, as a member of Clare College. I remained in the UK ever since and requalified as a Solicitor within this jurisdiction in 2005. I completed both the CPE and LPC with Distinction at London Metropolitan University. Having requalified in the UK, I worked for a city based firm in Central London before moving into a high street law practice in Sutton. I am also practising as a Freelance Solicitor and as such I am regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Tutoring Experience

In terms of my teaching experience, I started young as a personal tutor as a teenager in order to pay my way at university as a undergraduate in Argentina and have been teaching ever since. Whilst studying and living in Cambridge, I taught at various sixth-form colleges at GCSE and A-level in both Law and Spanish, prior to obtaining my UK legal qualification. I also taught Contract Law at South Bank University in London and EU Law at Coventry University. I have been a senior examiner for Edexcel Pearson, AQA and Cambridge International Examinations at GCSE and A-level which gives me particular insight into supporting students to achieve high grades in my subjects.

Tutoring Approach

I am well regarded among my students and am able to help everyone to achieve their full potential. Many of my former students have gone on to study at Oxbridge and become successful solicitors or other professions in their own right. I have also inspired a number of adult learners to reach a level of fluency in Spanish, which they had never achieved in any language while at school. I have a friendly, relaxed but energetic approach to tutoring. I always take an interest in the specific needs of every individual student.
