I am a PhD graduate of Petroleum Geoscience and Engineering from Imperial College London. I am passionate about teaching and have a wealth of experience teaching Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics (R and Python), Geology, Chemistry and Computer Science & programming in R and Python . My goal is to see my student become successful and play to their strengths by adopting different teaching strategies that allow them to tap into their strengths and keep them engaged. Using this method, I have been able to help them develop their weak areas and improve their knowledge dramatically. In addition to the above, my naturally friendly approach and flexibility have been effective in engaging my students and tailoring my lessons to suit each of their academic needs. On average my students record above 70% in their various courses through my meticulous mentorship and tutilage.
My passion for teaching and helping students is long-standing. Coming from a family with both parents as academic professors meant that I was exposed to the art of teaching from an early age. Teaching is an art that must be learned if you are going to deliver your subject most effectively. Having understudied my parents teach for many years, I started my official teaching experience at age 17 when I gained admission into the university for my undergraduate degree. During this time, I started Saturday school, where I taught Engineering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics and Computer Science to other students helping them gain a better understanding of the subjects and tackling their projects collaboratively. Immediately after completing my undergraduate studies, I started my teaching career at a state school, where I taught Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Statistics and Computer Science to GCSE and A level students, helping them prepare for their exams and gain admission into the different universities of their choices. I taught at the state school for 2 years before taking the giant leap to further my degrees to Doctorate level. I moved to the University of Manchester to pursue my master degree in Petroleum Geoscience and later at Imperial College London for my Doctorate (PhD) research in Petroleum Geoscience and Engineering where I also continued my teaching trade as Graduate Teaching Assistant. What I love so much about teaching is my ability to inspire my students to dream, believe in their abilities and focus on their strengths to make the most of it.
With hardwork and dedication, my students record an average of 70% and above in their various courses. So whether you are looking to turn your grades around or maintain a steady grade of excellence, I am here to help you achieve that. Before delivering any lesson, I ensure to plan my lesson in a way that helps my students to conceptualise the problem and ask the right questions. My goal is to teach my students how to be independent learners and develop an intellectual curiosity for their subject. My lessons are tailored to inspire my students to learn how to ask the right questions about their problem and develop their problem-solving skills. My desire is to help students to unlock their potential and having a strong STEM background, I'm able to draw from numerous practical research and experiments to demonstrate to my students the different ways to approach a problem and to choose the right formula using different practical analogies. In my years of teaching, I have seen my students graduate to become efficient problem-solvers and experts in their field.
