As well as having a PhD and twenty five years teaching experience, I'm a keen photographer and traveler. I use my worldly and teaching experience in lessons to make the content relevant and memorable. Students often mention my approachable, friendly manner and I look forward to seeing an increase in knowledge and confidence following my lessons.
I have taught all the main exam boards and have an extensive collection of resources to aid learning.

Tutoring Approach

Recap if necessary followed by explanation of the topic under consideration with gentle questioning to assess learning. Most lessons include power point slides and examples of specific exam board questions including a review of examiner comments and the mark scheme.
Fine tuning exam technique in the months leading up to the final exam allows students to think like an examiner and fully understand how marks are awarded.
