I am a qualified secondary school teacher and a private tutor. I currently work full time as a Lead Practitioner (Head of KS3 Science) at a local secondary school. I am married with 3 children. I enjoy travelling, swimming and going out to cinema and theatre.
Tutoring Experience
I have over 20 years experience in teaching in Ofsted rated 'Good' and 'Outstanding' state schools and have been a private tutor for the same length of time. I am very experienced with the AQA, OCR, Edexcel and IGCSE syllabus. I have a proven track record of working with students from local state, selective and independent schools who have achieved beyond their predicted grades.
I am an experienced GCSE examiner for a range of exam boards and taking on the role of Team Leader.
Tutoring Approach
My lessons are tailored to suit learners preferred learning style and needs, this will include sessions on exam techniques and exam practice papers. I am happy to tutor individuals, siblings and small groups (max 3) for the same hourly rate.
