Hello, I'm a graduate of St Andrews and Kings College, London currently offering to teach A-level Chemistry and iGCSE/GCSE level Chemistry and Biology. My degrees were in another subject, but I wanted to offer to teach science as I helped a friend of mine through GCSE Chemistry when we both taking it and he is now a published scientist. I've stayed keen on the subject and teaching it ever since.
I’ve been formally tutoring for five years, teaching many students from a wide variety of schools (some well known, such as Latymer, others not at all) and circumstances (eg one with mild Aspergers & ADHD).
Once I know which aspects of the subject my student is finding difficult, I'll try various different ways of explaining it or trying to help them remember it as needed. I'm extremely patient and will keep checking whether the student understands it until I'm sure they do. (Hopefully they might even find it interesting...!)
"You’ve been an amazing teacher to me." (2023 tutee before they achieved three '8's)
"Ben got 8/8 in his double science so obviously your Biology tutes helped in that fantastically!" (2022)
"You were amazing. Appreciate all the hard work you put in."
"Thank you so much for all the lessons we've had and your support, you have been an amazing tutor and very clever one."
"Sasha was thrilled with her results. Thank you again."
