Hello my name is Haleema, an experienced tutor from the UK. I graduated with my primary PGCE and Qualified teacher status in 2017. Over the last 7 years I initially started teaching primary aged students up to the age of 11 before moving up to provide English support to secondary aged students.
I have experience in teaching
I have a proven track record of helping students meet their maximum potential over my years of teaching.
Outside of teaching I also have a big passion for baking, keeping fit and reading.
With over 7 years of teaching experience, I completed my PGCE and gained my Qualified teacher status in 2017.
I spent the first 3 years teaching students in key stages 1 and 2. Planning, preparing and supporting students through school. During this time I taught a large number of students who were learning English as an additional language.
Over the last 5 years I have supported students in secondary education, specifically those with special educational needs. Literacy is my main focus. I used different teaching techniques and interventions to support students through their learning journey.
Alongside my degree I have worked as a personal tutor for students, helping to create individualised learning programmes in numeracy, literacy and science.
Prior to this I worked as a play-worker, planning and preparing a range of stimulating activities for primary aged students. We used play based learning to help keep them engaged.
I am a firm believer in each student learns in their own unique way, and benefits from a different teaching approach, this is why I like to provide a student centred approach to my teaching.
