Hi! I’m a Cognitive Neuroscience graduate with both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree, and a real passion for helping others learn and grow. I’ve worked in the research and clinical roles at top institutions like UCL and Imperial College London, focusing on brain health, memory, and mental wellbeing. Alongside my academic work, I’ve always enjoyed teaching – whether that’s been helping my younger siblings with their schoolwork or supporting others through mentoring and volunteering. I love making complex topics easier to understand and seeing that ‘lightbulb’ moment when something finally clicks.

Tutoring Experience

Although my academic background is in neuroscience and psychology, I’ve always had a strong interest in education—especially in helping younger learners build confidence with maths. I’ve supported primary-aged children in both volunteer and personal roles, including helping my younger siblings with their schoolwork and working as a teaching assistant for a community organisation. In those roles, I focused a lot on numeracy, helping children with everything from basic number bonds to problem-solving techniques.

Through my work in the NHS as a mental health practitioner, I’ve developed a clear, patient communication style and an understanding of how to break complex ideas into simple, step-by-step explanations—something that’s especially important when supporting younger learners. I also understand how important encouragement, routine, and confidence are in helping children enjoy and succeed in maths.

Tutoring Approach

I believe learning should feel approachable and tailored to you. Everyone learns differently, so I always take time to understand what works best for each student – whether that’s breaking things down step by step, using real-life examples, or building structured revision plans. I’m calm, patient, and encouraging, and I like to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes (that’s how we learn!). My goal is to boost your understanding and confidence so you can tackle your subjects with independence and ease.
