I am an experienced online and face-to-face tutor with a teacher qualification (PGCE) and a PhD in chemical biology. I am passionate about science and about enthusing young people, even those who find science difficult to begin with.

I have a teaching qualification and have been tutoring on and off since 1991.
Tutoring Approach
I tailor my approach to the needs of the student and what they want to get out of their time with me. For example, some students want to focus on practising exam-style questions while others want to discuss topic content with me and ask lots of questions.
I always aim to create an atmosphere where students feel relaxed and happy to ask questions. I'm also happy to answer questions or problems after and between lessons.
