I am a native German speaker with decades of teaching experience of German in England at all levels, ages and backgrounds. I regularly return to Germany where I also hold Residential Language Courses in my own premises during the summer. I am DBS checked. I have successfully raised two boys bilingually.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in Adult Education teaching German for over 30 years as well as in Secondary Schools, including Public schools. I also worked for Examining Boards for over 25 years. I am particularly conversant with exam preparation for GCSE, AS and A-Level. I have taught some of my students successfully online from scratch. I also teach Business German in local companies or online.
My youngest student is currently 11 and my eldest 84.

Tutoring Approach

I gear my teaching to the needs of my students and have a vast variety of teaching methods to address the development of speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammatical skills as well as cultural awareness. I thereby keep their lessons interesting and engaging. Private students improve their grades considerably within a short period of time. I am told by my students that they find me very approachable and that my teaching styles are adapted to their individual learning needs. They like my relaxed but focused teaching styles and enjoy their classes very much.
I am also trained in High Performance Learning and Dyslexia.
