I am a friendly and passionate teacher who loves teaching and learning. I have a Masters in Education from Cambridge, specialising in making learning more active and engaging (and therefore more memorable). I love travelling, reading and sport. I recently became a mum, which takes up most of my spare time!
I have 12 years of experience in primary settings, including 3 years working abroad. I pride myself on creating great relationships with the children I work with and I like to get to know them as people as well as teaching them new things. I have worked with many children with additional needs, working closely with the SENDCo in my last role as Assistant Head Teacher. I also have experience with children whose first language is not English and with children working above age related expectations.
A typical lesson from me would introduce a concept/skill, using real life examples and physical resources where possible, followed by games/short activities to practise the skill together and then some independent questions to apply the learning. We would review as we went along to ensure there is ample time for feedback and adaptation where necessary.
I am working during daytime hours currently, but have more availability during school holidays, so please get in touch!
