Based in Portishead and on Zoom, I am an experienced and dedicated teacher and tutor. I have worked for 18 year as a Teacher of English and am now a Teacher of SEN and am skilled at working with neuro-divergent learners ranging from SEMH to ASd or ADHD. Furthermore, I am training in Dyslexia teaching. I have been working in the local area for over a decade and have a wealth of experience working with students who require stretch and challenge for aspirational grades and also those that require support to help them achieve their targets.
I am an Examiner at GCSE and A Level and can tutor students to help them maximise their exam performance and success as well as build confidence in their skills. I can offer long term tuition as well as intensive courses, either to individuals or small groups.

Tutoring Approach

I take a student centred approach, exploring areas of confidence and those that they wish to develop. I ensure that my students feel involved in the planning process and communicate clearly what we are working on, why we are working on this and then what the next steps will be. I work on exam skills and confidence when accessing English tasks.
