Passionate GCSE English Language Lecturer | Art History Enthusiast | Lifelong Learner | PGCE in Education and Training
As a dedicated GCSE English Language lecturer at Middlesbrough College, I'm committed to fostering a love for the English language and helping students achieve their academic goals, even if they have previously found it difficult.
Why I Teach:
I'm passionate about helping my students unlock their potential, develop strong communication skills, and build the confidence to excel in their academic and personal lives. Witnessing their growth and success is my greatest reward.
I embarked on my academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Art History, where I developed a deep appreciation for the power of language in art and culture. This unique perspective has enriched my teaching style, allowing me to connect language skills to real-world contexts and cultural nuances.
I have previously worked in cultural institutions such as Manchester Art Gallery and MIF (Manchester International Festival).
Equipped with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and Training (PGCE), I'm well-prepared to deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment where every student feels valued and motivated to succeed.
Kind and caring - fostering confidence and knowledge!
