I am the Head of Art at Kempston Academy in Bedford and have been working as a History of Art tutor for three years.
In 2015 I graduated from the University of Reading with a First Class degree in History of Art. I was then awarded a scholarship to study an MA at the internationally renowned School of Museum Studies at the University of Leicester. I graduated with Distinction in Art Museum and Gallery Studies, and went on to complete an Internship at the Women's Art Collection owned by the University of Cambridge.
I have a PGCE Secondary Art and Design from UWE Bristol and am a qualified TEFL/TESOL tutor. I have experience working in both primary and secondary schools, as well as several museums and art galleries over the past 10 years.
Depending on the student's age, existing knowledge and goals, I offer a personal learning programme, complete with actions and sessions to achieve every student's personal goals in History of Art. My sessions are grounded in theoretical texts with an emphasis on visual material and interactive analysis. I strongly encourage independent work outside of my sessions and am happy to set & mark assignments depending on each student’s commitments.
