Hello, my name is Hannah. I am a qualified Maths teacher who currently works as a Maths tutor, with a Mathematics and Statistics degree. I am passionate about young people having a strong background in Maths as I believe it is helpful in all careers.
I am experienced in teaching students aged 10-18 and young adults completing resits, from SATs, to GCSEs, to A-Levels and believe maths should be enjoyable to learn and practice!
My personal hobbies include travelling and experiencing new cultures. I have previously travelled around South East Asia for a year.
I have 2 years of teaching experience and 3 years of 1 to 1 tutoring experience. As mentioned above I have taught students from ages 10-18, and have helped to prepare children for their SATs, GCSEs and their A-levels whilst also supporting them to reach their goals across the year in school. I believe practice makes perfect, and sometimes children just need something explained to them again to fully understand.
I have a postgraduate certificate in secondary education with qualified teacher status and a degree in Mathematics and Statistics. I am also currently working towards completing a Data Analyst course as I believe learning does not need to end after finishing school!
I think the best way for students to learn is to be shown and then to practice themself with assistance when needed. Practice makes perfect! I am a friendly and supportive teacher and believe making mistakes is necessary to improve the next time!
