I am an enthusiastic Geographer! I enjoy travel, football, music and comedy. I have a passion not only for Geography but also for helping students improve their understanding.Removed
I have 23 years experience as a teacher including 16 as a Head of Geography in an "Outstanding" school.
In the summer of 2019, my GCSE class achieved 81% A*-B grades and this is typical of the results I achieve teaching in a mixed ability, comprehensive school. My A-level results have always been excellent. I have taught OCR, AQA and most recently Eduqas B at GCSE and Edexcel and AQA at A-level.
I am a Human Geographer and specialise in Development issues, Geopolitics (Superpowers) and Urban environments at A-level. I am able to teach human and physical Geography at KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) but will not teach physical geography at A-level.
I am flexible in my approach to tutoring. I can conduct 1 or 2 hour sessions in your home or at my house or on-line
I believe that exam practice and feedback is essential in helping students get good grades. My sessions are always well planned and organised with a variety of resources. It is important that there is clear communication between us so that I can tailor the sessions to meet your exact needs and requirements.
I always try and keep my sessions topical and relevant.
