I have successfully completed the course DET (Diploma in Education and Training) from Solihull College and have been shadowing some GCSE classes since then. I have also done the course 'Linguae Mundi Certificate in Foreign Language Teaching'.
Regarding my Education, I have completed my PhD in Applied Mathematics (Water Waves) and also done Postdoc for a year in India. I love Maths and have been teaching Mathematics to students of classes 10-12 since I was doing my B.Sc (2004). I have my NARIC check done and my degrees are equivalent to UK degrees.
I am currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Oxford Brookes University.
I have worked as a lecturer in Solihull College and University Centre in Engineering Department from 2019-2022.
Before teaching any topic, I first assess the student’s current level of understanding and knowledge in that topic. Based on the student’s confidence/understanding levels, I adopt various methods until they independently solve the problems. I make them feel maths is not about memorising and is purely grasping the concept that can help to solve any problem. Maths means practice, the more you practice the more it becomes easier.
I try to make sure that the student understands the concepts thoroughly which comes with good practice by the sudent. I try to give homeworks so that the student remembers what he/she was taught in tuition and it also encourages solving the problem independently without my help.
