I am a newly qualitifed primary school teacher (NQT) . I completed my training in December 2020 at an outstanding school in London with outstanding QTS and PGCE at University of St Mark and St John. Prior to this I was an Autism keyworker/ teaching assistant in autism specialist provision in a secondary school. I studied Entertainment Management at Leeds Metropolitan University obtaining a Ba(Hons). My experience and education have given me the vital skills needed to become a positive impact on a child's life and to lead them to learn.
I achieved outstanding QTS in a class with a varied cohort in a deprived area of London. I have had experience from Early Years to Key Stage 2 and I have the subject knowledge needed to prepare children from their KS2 SATs.
I have previously tutored students with Autism varying from 10-19 years old in English and Maths exam preparation in varying levels from functional skills to GCSE. I have also worked one on one with many secondary age pupils who whilst academically able, had difficulty understanding language.
My approach to both tutoring and teaching is child centered. Children remember what they enjoy and what they are interested in. As such my approach changes with each student. I tailor all lesson plans and resources to the needs of each child, be it pushing those who are already thriving further to helping lift those who are currently struggling. I am particularly passionate about inclusivity and removing barriers to learning.
