Hello,
My name is Hashim and I'm currently a final year medical student about to become a doctor this August. I also have a masters degree in Public health.
I've always enjoyed learning and very much enjoy helping others do the same. Throughout my school life I received top grades for sciences and maths.
I had a particular interest in biology and so went on to receive the A level Biology student of the year in the city of Oxford, given by the University of Oxford. Achievements such as this allowed me to secure myself a place in medical school.
I have previously taught a 16-18 year old class Biological sciences at the Oxford Royale Academy. I have also given talks and mentored at Cheney school Oxford, but most importantly I have sat secondary school exams recently and so have first hand experience in studying for the current curriculum.
For my A levels I studied Biology (A*), Mathematics (A*), and Chemistry (A).
Work smart AND hard. There's no easy route if you want good grades, you have to be willing to put the work in. But on top of this, you need to use your time efficiently. Active learning (e.g. flashcards) worked best for me and for my students so that is the approach I like to use when tutoring.
For any students also looking to apply to medicine at university, I can offer mentoring. I've successfully applied to medicine and so am well versed in the process of developing personal statements, procuring work experience / volunteering etc.
